Welcome to my first blog, my name is Christo, and I was born and raised in Kerala, India's southernmost state, which is known for its greenery and backwaters. Living in a joint family has helped me gain moral values in my life, and I began seeing my uncle as a professional artist drawing pictures and doing sculptures when I was a child, and at my school, I started taking art classes out of curiosity to learn drawing, and then from gaining the practical method, I began my career of art at the age of 12, and thus art has been genetical plays a role in my life that helps me carve it and polish the skill to make it perform better.

Despite the fact that this blog is about the artworks that I have already created, the main objective is to explain the tactical approach of teaching the basics of portrait and landscape sketching, whereas here you can find useful tips for getting started as a beginner, as well as sources that can assist you in drawing and explaining the tools and accessories that I use for sketching portraits and landscapes, as well as teaching different types of drawings and art forms and how they are created in a step-by-step process. This would be helpful for those who are interested in learning to draw as well as those who already have the skill and want to understand more about the professional approach of learning.

key elements of the drawing:

  • Using a stencil

  • creating outlines

  • line art

  • sketching

  • lighting and shading

  • texture

what role does art have in my life ?

Throughout my life, art has played a significant role in strengthening my mental strength and encouraging me to think creatively, which has greatly helped me in social behavior. When I am stressed or lonely, art has motivated me, and while drawing portraits or landscapes, I began to think about achieving higher levels in the future, which has helped me to forget my emotional moments and think positively. Though, as an art enthusiast, I am interested in learning about various art forms, As a result of digital art, I've been working on my technological skills, which will help me in the new era of marketing, so when I realized this, I began to learn the digital arts during the pandemic, which has boosted me and helped me gain knowledge in new advertising techniques.

where am I now ?

We've changed a lot over the last 11 years, learning about different art forms and learning how to create art within new updates and new technology, after a long journey of artwork. Moving to Canada, continuing my post-graduation, and learning about other cultures and how different forms of art were viewed in different nations have had a significant impact on me. I'm excited to discover new things in new areas.

Hey Christo,

Its good to hear that you are so passionate about art. I feel art is a way of letting the inner creativity take shape. It completely depends on the individuals imagination to make their art speak. Even I like sketching as I also had fair training in my childhood therefore I also share the same passion for art. Love your content for a person like me who has lost touched with art this blog surely helps me a great deal.

Hello Christo!

I really liked your post given that my grandfather is also an artist. He paints in oil and I admire his ability to do it so well. I have always wanted to learn to paint professionally because at school I discovered that I liked doing it, but unfortunately I have never dedicated the necessary time to it. I'm sure that the different tips on your blog will help me learn more about painting professionally, thanks for sharing your knowledge!

Hi Christo,

Listening to your journey into the drawing is a great thing, I have no artistic talent at all. I learned to draw when I was a child, but then I found that I couldn't draw good-looking pictures. So I feel great about the creation of artworks! I hope I can rediscover the joy of drawing through your teaching~

Thank you for sharing it

Hi Christo,

It is really great to hear about your journey related to drawing. It really seems drawing has been beneficial towards your life and was great to hear that your uncle taught you a lot of good drawing skills. I was really glad that drawing had such a positive impact in your life and helped your mental strength and creativity. I also used to draw a lot as a hobby when I was younger, but haven't done it in many years. Seeing your page made me want to try drawing again. Do you think that anyone can become a good artist if they have the necessary training and practice? Or do you think it is a gift that you…
